Product Introduction

NIhao MBBR media, an innovative wastewater treatment filler, demonstrates outstanding performance in wastewater treatment through its unique design and high efficiency. This filler not only exhibits excellent physical and chemical stability but also effectively removes harmful substances from wastewater, improving overall water quality. Its unique formulation ensures a longer service life than other MBBR medias on the market, reducing the need for filler replacement and ensuring more stable performance, significantly reducing ongoing overall costs. Widely used in STP(Sewage Treatment Plant).

MBBR media is a composite biofilm composed of a mixture of various organic and inorganic materials. It is designed to enhance biomass and biodiversity. Aeration and water flow maintain a fluidized carrier, forming a floating activated sludge and an attached biofilm. This innovative biofilm reactor combines the advantages of traditional fluidized beds and biological contact oxidation processes, making it a highly effective wastewater treatment technology.

MBBR media Operation Principle: MBBR media operation involves adding a suspended carrier to the reactor. Aeration and water flow maintain a fluidized carrier, promoting the formation of suspended activated sludge and an attached biofilm. This dual growth environment ensures effective pollutant degradation. The biofilm on the carrier degrades organic matter, while the suspended sludge handles the remaining waste, providing a comprehensive wastewater treatment solution.

Advantages of Nihao MBBR media

High Efficiency: Nihao MBBR media achieves highly efficient wastewater treatment with minimal energy consumption. It can treat large volumes of wastewater with less power consumption, making it ideal for municipal applications.

Stable Operation: The system operates stably and is less affected by fluctuations in water quality. This adaptability ensures consistent treatment performance even under varying influent conditions.

Enhanced Adaptability: Nihao MBBR media is available in a variety of models to accommodate varying water qualities and treatment requirements. Its flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of wastewater types, including municipal, industrial, and agricultural.

Increased Biomass and Microbial Diversity: The complex nature of Nihao MBBR media supports a diverse microbial community, enhancing the overall treatment process by increasing the range of pollutants that can be effectively degraded.

Compact Footprint: The efficient design of an MBBR system equipped with MBBR media allows for a smaller reactor size compared to traditional systems, making it a space-saving solution for urban areas with limited space. Key Performance Indicators: Organic Matter Removal: The biofilm reactor efficiently decomposes organic pollutants, reducing biochemical gas demand (BOD) and chemical gas demand (COD) levels.

Nutrient Removal: The MBBR media efficiently removes nitrogen and phosphorus, preventing eutrophication of the receiving water.

Pathogen Reduction: The system effectively reduces pathogens, helping to improve the overall safety and quality of treated water.

How to Choose the Right MBBR media

1, consider the material properties. Polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) is preferred. These two materials offer excellent chemical stability and resistance to acid, alkali, and salt corrosion.

2, a good MBBR media is hydrophilic and quickly soaks up water, making it easier for microorganisms to attach. If it floats for long periods without getting wet or sinks quickly, it's likely poor quality.

3, in a biochemical tank, the best quality is one that resists breaking and deforming due to the impact, collision, and friction of the water.

4, under certain circumstances, a larger surface area promotes more microbial attachment.

5, when touching the surface of the media, a rougher surface is more conducive to microbial attachment, while a smoother surface is less likely to adhere.

6, the media's fluidity is key: it allows for better sulphurization and tumbling under the influence of water flow, preventing accumulation or clogging.

7, the media's formulation is crucial. High-quality, well-formulated media has a longer service life, significantly reducing wastewater treatment costs in the long term. While higher-quality media may be more expensive, they offer less frequent replacements, more stable results, and lower overall costs.
